Bluetooth and Pioneer Radio problems

Blackberry : Bold 9650, OS v6.0.0.524 Platform 4.4.0.438
Nuance VSuite V 4.0.21

Radio : Pioneer DEH-7300BT

I have several questions and would appreciate any responses.

1) I just installed a new car radio and am having a problem using my blackberry's voice dialing feature.

The phone pairs without problem, contacts transfer etc.

When i try to use voice dialing I cannot hear the prompts. I can see the voice prompts on the phone, and if I speak the phone will call. I will not hear anything until it starts ringing.

2) The other problem is I cannot stream music to the radio via Bluetooth, but this I can deal with as I can just plug in the AUX port.

3) Can I use the USB to play music through the radio, or do I have to use the AuX cable?

Thanks for any help.

2) You can plug in via AUX but then you won't be able to use the Bluetooth features.
3) You can't play music via the USB.

Re: Bluetooth and Pioneer Radio problems

Voice dialing may not be supported through your Pioneer radio. Until BlackBerry adds support for this you probably won't have any luck.

Re: Bluetooth and Pioneer Radio problems

I never had this problem when I used the Motorola T505 which makes me think it is the radio not the phone. I could use voice dialing, stream media etc. without problems.

Also, in regards to the first reply. Are you saying that if i am streaming Pandora radio via the AUX and receive a phone call, the radio will not mute the AUX and allow me to take the call?

Are these problems specific to Pioneer or is it my device?

Thanks again.

Re: Bluetooth and Pioneer Radio problems

When you have something plugged into the headphone jack, that overrides the Bluetooth transmission. You might be able to hear the call, but you won't be able to talk because the microphone will be muted.
