That usually means that the BB is connecting and then losing temporary connection to the WIFI access point. What is your access distance relative to the access point.

you can check to see if your mail server has activesync. if so you can use NotifySync or Astrasync via TCP, or WIFI to get your mail, sync your contacts and calendar ota.
