Default 4.5.0.69 drops USB connection when sleeping

Interesting - hadn't noticed this with any prior 4.5 versions, and not sure it matters one way or the other...

When I have my 8300 (running 4.5.0.69) plugged into the pc via USB cable, it eventually seems to "go to sleep" and drop the USB connection (I hear the typical 2-tone-descending sequence that Win XP plays for a dropped USB connection). When I click the trackball to "wake up" the 8300, XP plays a couple of tones again, suggesting that the "USB device" has been reconnected.

Not 100% clear that this is really what's happening, as I do NOT get the little pop up on Windows that typically says my "device is connected and ready for use".

Weird, though, whatever is happening is NOT the same behavior I saw with .52 or .55.

Not sure if it's bad or not, but I'm curious re: the implications...

I'll keep an eye on this and make sure I'm seeing consistent behavior. But even if it does this, I'm not sure it's a problem -- I see no downside to this so far, as I don't have any processes that run on either the PC or the blackberry during this potential "dormancy" period that depend on the other device being connected.

In general, .69 seems like an improvement to me over .52 or .55, but time will tell...
