did i load something wrong??? I have no OEM ringtones or alert beeps in the system software as it stands. Is it possible I did not check them when loading this software onto the phone, or have other people noticed that these are missing as well?

Yep, its been noticed and discussed in the forum in several threads.

They are not included in that release, but a kind user has reported a fix to replace them.
