Default I need to import my contacts from my Sim card to my Pearl 8220

Please Login to Remove!

Good Morning all,

I just got a Blackberry Pearl 8220 and I need to import my contacts from my Sim card to my Pearl 8220 and can't figure out how to do it. I have gone into contacts and selected Sim phone book and copy all to contacts and then they don't show up in my contacts. With previous phones I would just copy to phone and they would show up. Please help !

Thanks in advance

Debbie

That process sounds correct. If you type in a name from your homescreen, does anything show up?

When I type into the contact homescreen, nothing shows up. I have never had a problem before. I must be missing a step.

Hmmm doesnt sound like anything got transferred to your address book. Could you try it again? I remember transferring my SIM contacts over to my address book when I first got the phone by accident and everything worked fine. In fact, I spent more time deleting those SIM contacts from the address book since I already had them transferred from a Palm device.

If you go into contacts>options, how many contact lists are indicated? You may have created a secondary list in your import attempt. You may have to use desktop manager to erase your contacts then re-attempt the import.

I went to Contact>options and I only have Default under the contact lists. I will try your second suggestion and re-import. I will let you know. Thanks

That's really weird. I say bring it to Rogers and see if they can do it. Unless we're missing a step here...

Ok, I figured it out for myself. I went into main>contacts>filter and personal was checked. I unchecked and presto !!! If at first you don't succeed, don't throw it down the toilet...count to 10 and look again. Thanks for your help.
