Okay so, I've had my flip about a month and I've already got problems..
It all started when I called Customer Care because I wanted to figure out why in the world my messengers weren't working.. (BBM did though.) My MSN and AIM etc all gave me some stupid error message saying it couldn't connect and it gave me like error message 65 or 66 or whatever it was.
Well the tech told me to pull the battery.. When it booted back up, it didn't boot back up! I got a white screen with tiny font saying something about system error or something and the only thing it would let me do was 'reset'. Even after I did that it would give me the same message so after a while I would just pull the battery until it worked.. Which it is now but I'm afraid to do anything with my phone in case it requires a reboot because I'm still getting that msg sometimes!
I'm just wondering, does anyone know what this is? I am still under warranty BARELY and the tech put me down for a phone swap, should I do this or can I just update my OS or something and everything will be set right? He said if it's only a month old and already doing this then it's a piece of crap... input please??
Oh and if it makes any difference, I called during that big T-Mobile computer failure dealy on Saturday nightish.. *shrug*
Most likely you need to replace/reinstall the OS. There is a sticky in the top section of the forum with the latest version and specific instructions on how to do it.
If you don't feel comfortable doing that, just get a replacement.
Were AIM and MSN working previously and just stopped? If so, what were you doing just prior to them stopping, did you load an app perhaps?

I will try to upgrade the OS before sending it back..
And I hadn't done anything to the phone at that point. I never installed any Messenger apps they were just already there, and they never worked. I hadn't downloaded any themes or ringtones or anything. The most I had done was put some music on my memory card, take pictures and change up the fonts. *shrug*
