Anybody else having problems getting it off. I push the silver latch up but I can't get the cover to slide off.

The door on every BB I've ever owned except the Storm was very tight at first. You need to get the knack and wait for it to loosen up. Hopefully you won't regret the loosening one day! ;)

I got finally. I was trying to slide it down versus trying to just lift it up.

It does not slide off (like the Curve). It lifts off. So as you stick a nail under the latch and push it up, perform a lift at the same time.
