I am a new BB owner so I'm sure part of my questions are just learning curve.

I am having trouble downloading and using a few applications.
For example AppWorld - I downloaded it successfully to the device and have installed things like Travel Genius. But the list of apps seems a lot smaller than if you go tot he AppWorld website (i.e. no pandora even tried searchingI went to AppWorld to send me a link for the Pandora download which it does, but there is no download option - just review, recommend, screenshots.)

There are also a few things that do not work, but based on other discussions I assume this is due to the Tour sharing the OS version with the Storm (no touch screen - google earth, youtube).

Am I doing something wrong?
What's the best place/s to get some applications?

Any help is appreciated.
thanks

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry Curve 8900)

I believe AppWorld will only display applications that are compatible with your device. The Tour being a new device with a new OS (4.7.1) will have less available applications.

I agree with Jeremyckitching. You can also try going to the developer’s web site and see if they have the app for down load at their site. They should tell you if they are Tour or 9630 compatible. It may take a few days or weeks for BB app world to catch up?

In case anyone else experiences this same issue...
My Browser Configuration was not set to Blackberry thus not recognizing the device. (browser > options > browser configuration > Browser Identification

I have only found one app so far that I can't use on the Tour, but I don't use a lot.
Several took several tries, and or updates, to get them to go however.
