Web Browsing Problem

The saga of my new handset (8120) continues...most issues now sorted thanks to previous posts, however...
When I now try to look at the internet, the view that I have is text only, no images, or recognisable webpages.
Where are the settings for this please and what should they be set at so that I can view the sites properly?
If I try to access mobile.blackberry.com for example, a message appears :
"Unfortunately, your current device and/or browser are not compatible for this site."
I had no problems at all with my 8100 and have the same provider (Vodafone).
