Okay, I have os5 now, I have checked the box in BIS to syncronize my contacts, on my phone I went to the options of the contacts and "wireless syncronization" is set to "not available" and does not allow me to change it.

What am I missing?

If it is what I think it is, that option is for BES users only. Has nothing to do with using Google Sync. You need to download/install Google sync for contacts and calendar and then configure it to sync OTA.

Actually, I got it to work, I deleted my gmail account in BIS and re-added it, it then made me go in through my phone and validate and now my contacts are syncing. No need for Google Sync for contacts (still use it for calendar).

Calendar is being added in BES 3.0 or 3.1.

When syncing your contacts, did it mess up the addresses of your contacts? When I tried it, it put the entire contents of the address (street, city, state, zip, etc) onto the address 1 line instead of in each appropriate field? Not a big deal, but it was a minor annoyance for me.
