Default Playbook on BES?

Please Login to Remove!

Has there been any indication on how the Playbook device will function within a BES environment? I'm excited for this because I've been dodging and weaving my way around "We need Ipads!" conversations in the office for a number of reasons and anything I can manage through BES would be preferable.

The Ipad's that a few of the VP level titles have bought for themselves have been a joke as an enterprise device. Its a 600 dollar email reader with a data plan we have to pay for each month.

Since it links to your BlackBerry it should be no problem, provided your IT policy doesn't somehow prohibit this action.

It's thought that it will teather VIA bluetooth to access BES etc. It is 'enterprise ready' which should mean yes.

On another side, it's 4-6 Months away. I was speaking with a RIM employee last night here in Waterloo and he stated that the thing is VERY buggy right now. He was surprised that they were showing off a working model at launch.

We bought 5 iPads because an idiot in our organization sees shiny new things and just randomly says "buy this shit" 2 days after our purchase he started saying "oh maybe we shouldn't have bought those because now the Playbook is around"

I'm eager to see a playbook myself, but the iPads will allow us to leverage some technologies right now and playbook has no price or release date.
