Phone numbers not showing corresponding name on 8330

My 8330 will sometimes show the name of the caller but most times it does not. But after the call is over the call log will show the phone number and name.
It doesn't matter if I let it ring 1 time or 5 times the number only shows 20 percent of the time.
What is wrong?
