Okay so i just bought a blackberry 9700 white and it is used! i have just registered the imei and pin to my email address and i was wondering if this would prevent the previous owner from blocking the phone? if not then would i be able to call t mobile and register it to me?

Once you have registered it to your account with your carrier successfully, no on else can register it to their account.

There's nothing, however, from someone (fraudulently most likely) reporting the device stolen at a later date, but hopefully, you have paperwork documenting your purchase.

It's even impossible to register device in another country if it already been registered in bis/bes.
