This doesn't mean that it is an Offical release from RIM it just means they feel that it works fine on there network in that area.

Ummm, yes it does mean official release from RIM, for Vodafone Germany...and it's probably on the RIM site as well, if you can get to it. There are many different releases of device software, depending on the carrier...but once it's on the carrier's site, it is officially released by RIM for that carrier.
