I have a VZW 9650 w/ .810 that I loaded via Desktop and a ton of third party apps (e.g.- DataVault, Podcast, Worldmate, TeleNav, RemotePrint, SmartWiFi, plus 7 others) and am really not interested in going through this again to get the .1006 version. OTA does not show an OS upgrade, which would not require reinstalling these apps.

Anyone know why the OTA is not showing up? I guess it is because the .810 was not an official VZW update and I deleted the vendor.xml?

Thanks- so is there a way to put the verizon vendor.xml file back on the phone so it would do an OTA update?

Just download the file and load it using desktop manager, as it is alot of people have trouble as a result of using OTA.

No, the vendor.xml file has nothing to do with it. (It's also on your PC, not your phone.)
The problem is you are not currently running an official VZW released OS.
You can only do OTA software updates if you are running an approved source version of the OS.
