Default Problem with my Playbook

Please Login to Remove!

Last night I was upgrading my Playbook to OS V 1.0.5.2304 when suddenly it when dead. Tried to recharge the batteries, just in case,...no luck, still dead. Tried to connect it to Playbook Desktop Software to restore it. Cannot connect. Any thoughts or suggestions how to get it working again. Thanks

Step 1: Connect your PlayBook to your PC/MAC via MicroUSB cable and open Desktop Manager
Step 2: This install process is a CLEAN WIPE. You'll lose all data.
Step 3: Within Desktop Manager, hit Device > Update on the menu.
Step 4: No Update will be found. Just hit ok and go back to Desktop Manager homescreen.
Step 5. From there, while still plugged in, Restart your PlayBook using the power button app.
Step 6. A new popup window will appear giving you some options. Hit Update.
Step 7: Let it update and you'll be on the latest software. Warning: it sometimes takes awhile to finish.

Of course those steps can only be completed if you can actually power on your PB. I am not sure what you can do except to call RIM support if you cannot even power it on. Have you tried connecting it to your computer and pressing and holding the power button or holding all three (3-fingered salute)?

why are you upgradeing to 1.05.234 when 1.06.2390 is the latest version of the playbook os ?

If he ran the de-brick method, then the latest OS is the one that almolne installed.
