You're right, Don Morrison, one of the company's three chief operating officers, is retiring; his job will be divided between the other two remaining COOs. Thorsten Heins will become COO of product and sales and Jim Rowan will be chief operating officer of operations.

Two CEO's and three COO's. Did these guys come from banks or something? It seems in banks, unless you're just a lowly teller, you're a VP - could be Assistant VP, Associate VP, VP, Senior VP or Executive VP, but you're a VP (so all customers get to feel important - they're dealing directly with a VP!)

RIM giving out two CEO and three COO titles is just ridiculous.
