Default Message deliveries

I am trying to contact a work colleague I usually communicate with on BBM and get the "d" when it's delivered and then the "r" when she reads it. Sometimes she tries to avoid me because there is work she has to do and she knows that if it says 'd" and then "r" I know that she's read it and therefore she's responsible for doing the work.

I sent a BBM to her today and it's just a 'tick," no "d" and no "r." On her contact profile it says she's available, so why hasn't it delivered? Is there a way of turning off "d"s and "r"s?

Status is set by the user, right? Mine shows available always because I never change it.

If the message isn't showing delivered, then it probably isn't delivered, and the recipients BlackBerry is not in range of a signal, or it is turned fully off.

I just upgraded to the 9930 and I am not getting the R when someone receives a delivered message. Is there a way to turn this on and off???

Thanks!

The "R" means 'read' not 'received'. The "D" means 'delivered'.

Note that it cannot be turned off in BBM.

Ok, thanks for the info but my BBM messages, once read, does not change to the R.
Would that be an issue with just my 9930? Seems like Oglegen is having the same problem. Anyone else???

How many messages? And how many different recipients; or to put it another way, are you sure they're being read?

This sounds like a convoluted way of saying you're keeping tabs on someone, and you want to know why she isn't getting your messages.

She probably turned her radio off. If the work is so important, email her.
