Well, since there is no LTE blackberry, 4G battery life should be similar to 3G.
Honestly, even with stable 3G, verizon wasn't that much better than my AT&T 9700..

If it isn't LTE, it isn't 4G. ;)

That depends on the area though... NYC is pretty slow for all carriers. They need to take hints from the Japanese and Koreans and just start hiding base stations and antennas everywhere in NYC. :p
