Default iDEN Has Spoiled Me

Please Login to Remove!

I've gone through so many phones in the last 3 years...I'm a total PDA guy. I've been hooked on Nextel for a few years...and have used the BB 7510, 7520 and now the 7100i. I keep leaving Nextel, and porting my number to other providers, because they have the sexy phones. T-Mobile, Cingular, Sprint have all had my business. Then what do I do? Within a few days, I port back to Nextel. Nextel is always good about waiving early termination fees and such...but these other networks SUCK!!!! I'm really trying to figure it out. iDEN gives me LAND LINE quality calls, without dropping out, being broken up, or sounding crappy. ALL OTHER cell networks in the country seem to suffer from this. Ignoring for the moment the fact that iDEN does not roam, why is it that everywhere in the country I go, it's a SOLID network, and when I use other providers I get choppy calls, dropped calls and a cheap-sounding type of call? I really WANT to move to another provider, for the speed and sexy phones...and I had the BB Pearl and loved it...but geez, Nextel just can't be beat, in my mind, in terms of reliability. Anyone else feel this way? How do you all deal with crappy service?

Maybe I've come to expect SUPERIOR service that I can't deal with a bunch of trying to decipher what someone is saying.

I agree... I have done the same, but the 7100i is awesome... I have a camera, XM Radio, iPod and can wait for the Pearl to be ported over to iDen.... I am sure Sprint will not let us down with this issue... They will in due time develope a cross platform Sprint/iDen Blackberry...

From all the posts in the 7100 area, I think this will be the last iDEN BB.
