OK, I read a lot of threads on this but I am still a little confused. One of the things that drew me to the Pearl was the maps feature. I just had to get rid of my truck that had the factory navi in it and I really miss it.

So what do I need with the phone to make it function just like a factory navi system in an automobile? I mean be able to input an address and give all the turn-by-turn directions with all the voice prompts, etc.

Blackberry Maps, which comes with your phone has maps that download over the air. You can use a bluetooth GPS puck such as Pharoes and it will display your position and speed and download new maps as you drive, but it will not give you audible directions. When you download directions it displays turn by turn written directions at the bottom of the screen that you can scroll through and it highlights your route on the map, but it is not a full function GPS like a Garmin or a Tom-Tom.
