Just got the Seidio belt case and skin for my 8830, and the belt case is missing the little rubber piece on the clip that holds the BB in... Anyone see this before?

The lady in customer service wants me to do an RMA... all I want is for someone to mail me the little rubber piece, and I'll glue it in myself.

Anyone got a Seidio contact for me to ping...?

My case is missing the piece of rubber also. Assuming you mean something that would slip in the small triangular space under the leading edge of the spring clip. Doesn't seem to affect the holding power of the clip though.

Keep me informed if you find out anything from Seidio.

Do you mean the cutout looking area under the spring loaded claw that holds the device in the holster? I see a triangular cutout area in mine but there is nothing in it. what should be there?

It should be a small piece of rubber so it does not scratch your phone.

Oh joy. I just got this also. No one at seidio mentioned this. Is it possible they do not know?

PS - and also I have the rubberized case on so I cant get damage from the clip. I feel for you guys with no skins.

I've noticed that the clips are missing the rubber piece when used with the rubberized hard case. If your belt clip is for just the bare device it should have the rubber piece. I actually tried the rubber piece out of my 8100 clip (no hard case) in the 8300 hard case clip and it didn't hold the device properly.

so JOhn, If I use a rubberized hard case are you thinking I am better off without that rubber insert? Like I said before My hard case keeps the claw from scratching my BB anyway I am just concerned it may not hold the device without it's designed rubber peice in place.

Sorry for any confusion, but the rubber piece was removed on this particular holster for a better fit. I'll make sure that all our Customer Service reps are aware of this.
