Question Just need to clarify what is needed for Turn by Turn directions

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Everyone. I have spent some time reading alot of previous posts and just want to make sure I understand what I am going to need to get Turn by Turn on my phone. I have the Pearl 8100 with T-mobile. I do not have the data service right now, just the email service.

If I understand the postings correctly, to use a service like Telenav, Mapquest or other GPS services I will need to.

1. Purchase a BlueTooth puck.
2. Purchase the data plan from Tmobile so I can have web access.
3. Try out a service to see which one I like the best.

Am I missing anything?

Thanks in advance for the help.

ThePearl.

Sounds about right.
Make sure the data plan you get is a BLACKBERRY data plan... and not just any old data plan.

Thanks for the quick reply. Glad to see it came from a fellow Red Sox fan.

Of course not. Then there'd be no Yankee fans to argue with.

LOL! You're right...I would really miss bashing the local Yankee dummies.

Don't forget the free nav programs w/voice prompts...Amaze GPS (what I've been using) and Nav4All. Depending on how often you want to use Nav software, you might not want/need to sign up for a monthly cost for voice turn-by-turn.
