I need to know how to turn suretype off.

I don't want it to do any predictive anything with my words.

SureType is not Predictive Text. Two different issues on the Pearl.
Turn off SureType at Options > Language > Input Method = MultiTap.

Do you have the Pearl 8130 or the 8310? I assume the 8130. It does have Predictive Text as well, which you can also diable in your Options.

Are you sure you want to turn it off. For some applications I agree its a pain. But once you use it alot you'll come to like it (trust me, I hated it at first.....see me post). The trick is to not look at the screen while typing, just type away and look up at the end. If words are messed up go back and fix them.

I turn off the predictive input but leave the everything else on. It still learns

The 8100 doesn't have predictive text, just sure type.

As above. I hated and didnt use it until I read a simialr post. Technique works great and so does suretype.
