As they say at the software company I work for, a beta should never be used in a production environment. I'm waiting for the official release.
Why bother waiting. They won't fix everything. It's all a bloated pig now. My trusty 7280 was rock solid. Thing of the past was solid, thing of the future is the 3 min reboot to often than not.
I am not exactly understanding this fried sim card issue. I have upgraded and downgraded several times from one OS to another and have never gotten my sim card fried (knocks on wood). How do people manage to do that?
Nobody "manages" to do that. It's out of anyone's control. It's something in the particular 4.5.0.37 OS version that does it. NJBlackberry knows "a little" about Blackberrys and upgrading them and it happened to him. If it hasn't happened to you, then great. If it does, you'll know why.
As much as I would love to get 4.5 running on BlackBerry, I know what I will gain from from and know what I could possibly lose from upgrading to it. I am going threw a slightly hectic time in my life (trying to figure out if I am coming or going) the ability to edit and attach my resume from my BlackBerry would great. HTML email, Docs to go would keep me from going back to computer, Voice Notes would be nice as well. Everything else would be for my own sanity (Customer play lists, YouTube streaming, 8 GB+ MicroSD card, etc)
And yes we have lived without HTML, Document Editing on our BlackBerry's for way too long whats another 2 months?
Besides once we get 4.5 we will hear about 5.0 and the cycle will continue all over again.

Just think about how far BlackBerries have come from then till now... And what else is coming.
