LunkHead, I'd like to cut in here from another perspective which I hope helps everyone here - I respect your feelings in this matter as its rightfully founded but this thread is seemingly "looking" like a band of moderator brothers, against the newbs. Hopefully you guys all understand my perception from another view. Remember I edited posts for clarity as best I could to show my view.

If they close a thread because the question has been asked and answered several thousand times over it is because web space costs money. I assume this site is on a budget... It's free for all of us and I know that web space is not cheap nor free for a site of this size...

Great information & THANK you for clarifying. I'll get back to the part of posting something thats been asked a thousand times.

Ok you guys have been here a LOT more frequently and longer that I have, and I still consider myself a pure newb when it comes to BlackBerry's. But I'd like to mention that SOME posts are being deleted without a public post to end that thread OR even a slight PM to assist a newb that asked a frequently asked question over again. I'll show you what I mean.
I personally am DYING to make a thread FULL of questions on just HOW to load the other provider themes on my BB Pearl. Of course there are numerous threads explaining how to do this and links for provider .xml files or whatever they are. I've refrained from posting this inquiry - a serious & honest inquiry here NOT Hypothetical - because I don't want to see my thread closed like a door without some help. I'm not good at doing searches on the internet or even in a library ... and at work I frack'n ALWAYS hated hearing "search the KB, its in the KB" (KB = knowledge base). The problem with searching is that not EVERYONE knows the correct search words/criteria and pattern (+, and, whatever) to get what their looking for. For my serious inquiry I've outlined above I keep coming up with Jibi's recent posts regarding those firmware's and extracted .xml file thingy's ... which clearly states "this is for those that know what their doing" .... which gives me a burning desire to post my inquisitve thread HOW DO I do this properly step by step. I've never done this before NOR do I even know what an xml is but just another unknown extension. I tried to understand "Learn xml in 21days" which I think I'm more confused than just not knowing in the first place.
Please remember my posting of John's post above ... "Non of us know everything" and us newbs make mistakes. Give us more than some crumbs but a bone. I'm not asking to have my member held while I pee - gads no - but maybe even an update to the FAQ's on HOW to refine your search to get what your after, not just a link in a signature to & stating "Have you tried to search yet".
A medium ground would be helpful & less stressful for everyone.
I hope you guys get what I'm after & that I'm also NOT attacking anyone just trying to help out from BOTH perspectives - yes I'm a Gemini if you cannot tell already lol.
Cheers & thanks for a great site - I don't want it turning into another HoFo.
