Believe it or not, I am going back to 93 on my 8320. With 102 i had extended hour glass spinning and more memory leaks, the phone also seemed a little sluggish too. So I am rolling back.

I have loaded it up and am giving it a try. You would never believe how I got it. I'm not sure I believe it myself. Seems like a dream that fades the longer you are awake.

4.5.0.102 is incredibly performing better than any of the 4.5.0.xx versions released till now. Memory leak is very less .. of course that depends on the number of 3rd party apps installed on ur berry.

I am having the same exact problem!! I did everything that I'm supposed to do. I've done OS updated for my phone before with no problem. I don't understand why my Desktop Manager will not pick up on the upgrade. Can somebody please help us with this issue. I tried looking online, and haven't had any luck finding a solution.

It seems that some systems install a 2nd instance of the vendor.xml file. Do a search of your computer for the vendor.xml (Start >Search >Files and folders)

Be sure and click on Advanced Search Options and make sure you search "hidden files/folders." Delete every instance you find of vendor.xml

Not sure if its just me, or if its Tmobile. I can't use the gmail app on the 8320, or the facebook app. Keeps saying No network connectivity, where as i'm clearly browsing using the browser, and am able to use google maps. Can someone else check pls?

Its also missing the "internet browser" in the advanced options. Just me?

I assume you have a data plan?

If so, go to Options >Advanced Options >Host Routing Table. Hit the menu key and select Register Now.

I've gone back and forth to 4.2.2 to the 4.5 million times now. I'm currently on 4.2.2 and gmail wouldnt open. Tried the host routing table, and it worked. Guess will give it a try with the 4.5 too and it should work.

Thanks a lot

Is the volume issue people are having with the other 4.5 versions fixed in the .102 version?

I gotta say, .102 is by far the most stable beta I've used. Battery life has been excellent too.

Seems stable to me...but it seems that I've also got less free mem with this version as well. With prior beta's I was seeing low to mid 20's, now, with the same apps running, I'm at about 16mb after a few days use. No scientific or rigorous testing here - just my impression.

I too was experiencing massive memory drift down (leak) down to 16mb startin from 24. This never happened before with the exact same apps on my prior os. I finally narrowed the culprit down to vlingo and haven't used it since.

Although I seem to have less free mem with 102, UI response *does* seem to be better. With .93, for example, whenever I'd do a "delete prior" in my messages, it could be 30 seconds before I'd get control back. Now, with .102, it seems to be much faster.

If there's a trade-off in some mem usage versus responsiveness, I'll take responsiveness.
