I'm sorry, but that does not work. I had an iPhone plan, and putting my SIM in any other phone resulted in a ton of text messages and no MWI. VVM did not work on my Bold whilst I waited for my BlackBerry plan to activate.
Further, at&t will not just activate an iPhone plan. You must actually have an iPhone.
