Smile bb 8800 series being seen as boot drive on pc

Please Login to Remove!

i am seeing a growing problem with the 8800 series ( has micro sd card) that when the bb is connected to the pc via usb and the pc is rebooted, the bb is picked up by the bios as a usb boot drive ( cdrom) and attempting to boot from the bb. Causign a hang in boor or other errors.
has anyone else seen this problem , does anyone have a solution other than turningoff usb boot in bios ( or not connecting the bb during boot )
thanks

Never saw that b/4 but since you mention it, I can load up a copy of Damn Small Linux on my BB's micro SD card and now I can boot any computer into diagnostic from my BB and a cable.
Gonna have to try that this out now...
Personalyl I'd just dissconent the BB b/4 rebooting.

How about you change the order of the boot drives. The standard order is usually Floppy, CDROM, HD, USB, Network. Just make sure the HD is before the USB and you'll be fine. If you don't do this, there's no other way other then just unplugging the BB prior to rebooting.
