i love the today theme. i like being able to see how the new message is from before i go all the way into the messaging app. sometimes i want to read it now, sometimes later.

my problem is the sms messages that i have allready read are still showing up in the today theme. i have selected in the options both "combined" and "theme controled". i have also tried both the stock today theme that came with the sprint pearl and the today plus theme. they both do it.

does anyone know why this happens?

does anyone know how to fix it?

I have had a similar problem. It only happens to a small percentage of my SMS messages. The only way that I know how to clear them is remove the battery to do a full reset. Seems to solve the problem when I do this.

this is a known bug in the Today Theme. Battery pull or use the soft-reset program and it will clear them out (most of the time)

I use Today Plus for the same reason (to preview messages/appts without opening). Rarely the message fails to go away. Very rarely. A battery pull fixes it like they said above.
