Default Phone Icon

Isn't there supposed to be a phone icon on the menu screen? Thought I saw one when I first got the phone, but now it is gone after I did an update of the OS system (actual from Verizon update). And I have set screen to show all, and I have looked in all the folders.
Anyway to restore the icon if there really was one?

Look in the sub folders (it is likely hidden). Then you can move it to the home screen.

Thanks, but looked in every sub folder on the phone. Just did a restore from the day before the new OS upgrade from VZW, and it is there now.

I don't have one on my device with 4.7, but you can always just press the green Send key to get into the phone.

My 5.0 beta OS device does have it, though.

It's gone. RIM figured that it was redundant with the dedicated phone button on the device. I think it disappeared with OS 4.6

Interesting that they left it on the 8900 in v4.6
Unusual for them to be inconsistent....

It's back on my 4.7...
But now I find I can use the phone button, not sure if I'll ever use it....
