Hi people. I'm new here and this forrum taught me many things about my fone. I just wanted to know why my blackberry download speed stays at 15.0kb/s? That's pretty slow for a 3G fone. And I live in an area with load sof network all the time. I thought that upgrading to os 6 woukd solve this problem but it didn't help. If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated.

How are you measuring the download speed?

Is the device showing EDGE or 3G? Are you in a 3G capable area?

Have you tried a battery pull to see if that helps?

While downloading a file, it tells me the download speed, and yes, I am in a 3G capable area. And I have tried a battery pull but that still didn't help.

That speed may or may not be valid. 3G speeds are typically between 400 and 900 kbps. True speed depends on where you are, the connection, distance to the tower, tower congestion, the device itself, etc.

Experienced same problem recently but download speeds fine now.

I'm on Vodacom 3G and download speeds are between 109bps - 3kbps...I'm screwed for LIFE!!!

Same prob I got strong 3G bt it stays on 6.6kbps I did everything and tried everything alreadi!!

I'm on vodacom it starts on +100kbps and drops instantly to 6kbps
