Default Bluetooth Headset Question

Please Login to Remove!

My 8703e is the first phone I've had with Bluetooth, and I picked up a Bluetooth headset last week.

It seems awkward that when I'm on a call and want to change over to the headset that I have to go back to the home screen and enable the Bluetooth and wait a few seconds for it to switch over.

If I leave Bluetooth enabled, then I have to put on the headset to answer a call (or use speakerphone).

Am I doing this right, or is there a quicker way to change from Bluetooth to just holding the phone up to my ear???

I'm not really sure what your trying to accomplish. Generally, with a Bluetooth headset, you would already have it enabled on your 8703 and the headset would be attatched to your ear, this would be the fastest way to answer the call. If your wanting to put the headset on after the call is in progress, then you should probably leave Bluetooth enabled all the time and then all you have to do is put the headset on and turn it on to switch over. If your wanting to stop using Bluetooth during a call, then just turn the headset off during the call to switch back to the handset.
I'm not sure if this makes any sense to you but I hope this helps.

It seemed to me that as soon as I answered the call on the BB, it went direclty to the headset.

I'll try it again when I get home tonight.

If you have Bluetooth enabled on your phone, and have the headset turned on, then yes the call will go directly to the headset as it's supposed to.

K-Mack is correct.

When BT is Enabled, all calls will be routed to your Headset automatically.
