Hi,
If you run a Blackberry Enterprise Server, check for updates
There is an important security update for BES 3.6 SP 3
Quote:
You are receiving this update because you have downloaded Exchange BlackBerry Enterprise Server v3.6 Service Pack 3. The purpose of this email is to communicate information about two important issues: Hot Fix 1 and a BlackBerry Controller Default Setting.
Hot Fix 1
Hot Fix 1 for Service Pack 3 has just been released. An update in this Hot Fix that will make Service Pack 3 more secure. Hot Fix 1 should be applied to every production BlackBerry Enterprise Server v3.6 Service Pack 3. Download information about Hot Fix 1 can be found in the BlackBerry Enterprise Server v3.6 section of the download support website.

BlackBerry Controller Default Setting
BlackBerry Enterprise Server v3.6 SP3 has BlackBerry Controller functionality that will automatically restart the service in the event of a server crash. Service Pack 3 shipped with a default registry setting of unlimited automatic restarts per day. It is highly recommended that administrators lower the number of restarts to 3 per day. For a detailed explanation of how to lower the number of restarts, please refer to the knowledge base article << Click Here >>. The default value for number of restarts will be lowered to 3 in an upcoming hot fix and all future service pack and product releases.

Thanks to clyde_turkey on HoFo for bringing this to attention.
* Friendly Moderator Note: I took out the "Security" part in the title of this thread because there are no security holes, when they say "run more secure" they mean stable. There were some BES crashing issues and HotFix #1 fixes that. Have a good day! bb_tech
