What do you hate about your blackberry?
Please Login to Remove!
Let me get my flame suit on......
OK, I know the blackberry pearl is a kick-ass device but there are some things that irritate me.......
1. I hate having to re-encode videos for playback on the device. I know, I know, these are phones first and multimedia devices second but it really grinds my gears when I locate a video that appears to okay to use with the device only to find out that for whatever reason, the damn thing won't play. So is it because of the codec used, or is it the frame rate or......I really hate the error message that states, An error has occured yet it offers no insight into what the problem could be. I have downloaded mp4 3gp and avi files and 99% of the time, I have to re-encode, a time-consuming, quality-degrading, head-ache inducing process.......
2. I hate not being able to use the side rocker buttons for anything other than strict volume control. I would love to be able to scroll up and down webpages or perhaps, use them to scroll down a long list of items such as a playlist.
3. There are others but right now I can't really think........discuss

It needs a second convienence key that can be programmed by the user. The single one I have now is set to lock the keypad and if I had a second one I would program that for Switch Application.

On my pearl if I tap the volume button while in my play lists it changes songs, sometimes that makes me mad.

You can program both of them. Just set dial from home screen off and use the "K" to lock the keypad.

I hate that I can't use mine as a remote for my TV or Tivo.
How retro.

When you push for about 2 secs but if you only push quick, it will change volume instead of songs... It's like that on mine anyway..

I hate that a new one comes out right when I'm comfortable with the old one. Then my want hurts. Constant cash flow by making me want new. Help, I'm falling for their plan!
I wonder if Uncle Sam will give me some bail out money to get a Storm?

I wish the build in apps were a little more polished appearance wise. The got way better with 4.5, but it still reminds me of DOS. The calendar app also needs work.

My BlackBerry goes in 3 places my hand, my cradle, and my holster
Since I got my Curve I got memory hasn't really been an issue (46 free MB is nice).. I do wish it was a little fast downloaded HTML images and do bulk copy and paste in DTG is kinda of slow, but I am new the new BlackBerries with the faster process will fix that, and will have a better display..
I want a Bold now

The fact that the Bold will VIBRATE twice before ringing and has no way (other than buying an app) to have it ring AND vibrate makes me miss some calls, that omission is inexcusable imho. other than that complaint my BOLD is just a bit better than perfect.
