Default How are you keeping up with what the latest versions are?

Hi All,

How do you keep up with what the current BES version, service packs, etc. are? I took a look at blackberry.com last week and noticed SP4 for Exchange, downloaded it, and went back today for the PDF docs. Now I find that there is a maintenance release (hotfix) 2 for Exchange. Is there any better way than checking their site on a regular basis or learning about the updates here? RSS Is what I hoped they offered, but I don't see it and neither do I see anywhere to register to receive notifications. We're on Tx1 support, but I don't see anything about notifications there, either.

Thanks for any feedback.

I would HIGHLY recommend signing up for he BTSC RSS Feeds ...

keep this link handy: Software Support Life Cycle; generally RIM has the next planned service pack release date up on there.

Lastly, check in here ... I try to get as much info out of our Partner Support Account Manager with RIM with regards to release dates / patches / changes, yadda yadda yadda (as I'm sure most everyone else does), and anything that isn't NDA'd of value gets posted here.

The Software Life Cycle is the best means to 'get an idea' although I'll be very surprised if that late November date is met even with delivery to the Partner Zone portal. Starting with BES 5.0, it'll have the built-in ability to check for updates - both handheld and BES.

They already bumped it back to beginning of December; big surpirse ... perhaps to avoid tryptophan hangovers?

Don't even get me started with bumped dates!!

I used to just check the BB site every few days but these days we hava an NDA with RIM and I generally know what's coming and when, and we also have Partner Zone where things pop up a few days before general release.

hdawg,

Thanks a million, RSS is exactly what I was hoping for. Usually find out about updates here but it's hit & miss as far as how often I get here.

Thanks a ton. I'm sure you've helped a lot of people out by pointing out these links....

Ciao
