my 8900 fell in bowl full of water 5days ago.i picked up immediately. display lights gone off and then i removed the baterry and dried it.. i had no idea that we should not put battery again until its fully dry. but i restarted the phone again it started well but display lights were not working.lator after drying more ,display working well and i removed the battery and put phone near some warm place..i had no patience to dry it well .so i was keep checking my phone next day...
everything was fine but the keypad stopped working so i dont know what to do.i get msgs calls everything.scrolling key also working well. battery is still in phone now and phone is still on can you pls suggest me what should i do now ??how keypad can start working ?

one of my friend suggest me to clean the keypad with benzine (petrol).that will remove carbon (rust) from the keypad and may be it will work but i dont want to remove warranty sticker.im still in hope of backberry replacement (one of my friend suggested).if this possible then how can i contact blackberry support. Im from Netherlands.

Most likely, you put the battery back in before it was really dry. Doing that fried the electronics and most probably made it a brick. Personally, I would cut your losses and get a new one.

I agree, once it gets wet the warranty is void. The only hope is to be patient and dry it properly, since that wasn't done in time the only other recourse is to replace it.

You can always keep trying to dry it out and pray for a miracle. Give it several days of uninterrupted drying, battery out, before trying it again. Some folks have luck putting wet devices in a container of uncooked white rice. That tends to draw out moisture.
