Try pulling the battery while the device is on first. Leave it out for 30 secs. or so then replace. This fixes many common issues. If it doesn't work, then post back.

And yes... that would be symptomatic of a problem that could very well be fixed by a battery pull, which is why I suggested it. I did read your entire post.

You can try performing an enterprise activation again and see if that corrects the problem. No need to wipe. Just re-activate.

i didn't mean to come off as a smart a**, really! guess i could've left off the "like i said before" bit. but i was just restating my previous post. i apologize for any misunderstanding. i am really appreciative of any help offered. again, very sorry and thanks for all the help.
a reactivation you say? will that require another password from the bb admin? they're in the uk so it will probably be tomorrow til i can get that. thanks again.

No sweat at all . Sometimes people do just randomly suggest a battery pull no matter what the symptoms. I myself have seen this pull rectify many-an-issue so it's often the first thing many ask.

Yes that reactivation would require a password to be set on the BES. The end user could then perform a wireless enterprise activation using the BES email address & the password set by the admin.

It's not often this link is just "lost" for no apparent reason. But the "EA" is the quickest way to avoid painstaking trouble-shooting.
