Default Lost POPUP keys on Storm moving from Beta to 5.0 final

Please Login to Remove!

My boss has a Storm, and we have been racking our heads trying to find the popup iTouch like keyboard keys on his Storm. But it seems that it has been removed in the 5.0 final. It was in the Beta and now it's gone.. What crap!

Blackberry 5.0 release notes say: KB17886

Improved SurePressxxx8482; technology (Only available on the BlackBerry® Storm2xxx8482; 9520 and 9550 smartphone models)....

Popup Keys

With the introduction of BlackBerry Device Software version 5.0, the SurePress keyboard displays an indicator of the key that is pressed as you type on the keyboard of the BlackBerry Storm 9500 series smartphone. You can control this feature by going to Options > Screen/Keyboard. The image below displays the indicator:

Anyone know a work around so my boss can get his popup keys back...LOL
It's the little things in life that make all the difference..

Thanks
Lance

I'm not sure what you're talking about... Do you mean where it shows accented characters? Mine still does - although I think I had to hold my finger there longer than I used to... I don't need them very often - but I imagine others might...

One mysterious vanishing act - Show Keyboard from the Home screen - so now you can't get into the event log! I was on the phone w/ RIM and they didn't know how to get to it now either...

Default Nope, not what i'm talking about

Features implemented in the BlackBerry Device Software version 5.0 specifically for the BlackBerry Storm 9500 Series smartphones

No thats not it, look at the above page, section POPUP KEYS.
It's just like the iPhone or iTouch popup keys.

It is not in the .328 released by VZW and to the best of my knowledge, there is no work around.

I hope the boss has a sense of humor...
