Default Voicemail indicator gone?

Please Login to Remove!

I have a new 9790 and I cannot find an icon showing a waiting voicemail, instead I get messages telling me I have a voicemail...
is it how it works? I want the old indicator back, is it possible?
Thanks

Yes. Newer devices have Visual Voicemail for most First World carriers, and that's how it works.

You're implying about the software not the hardware. because hardware has nothing to do with that NEW ICON.

That's too bad because I deleted the text message and I found later new messages in my voice mailbox.

Actually it does because the newer software will only run on the newer hardware.
