Equalizer creating static?

I was just curious if anyone else noticed and increased amount of background static (noise) when you use the various equalizer settings. I am listening with very high-end earbuds (Shure e4c's) so you may not notice it unless you are using something high-end as well.
Regardless, the sound quality is still good considering it is a cellphone.
OS 4.5.0.37 on Curve 8310...
