Default SIM Slot Unlock for 9630-Use GSM Carrier

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,
I successfuly unlocked my Verizon 9630.

Have been able to use US GSM Carrier's SIM to make calls and receive text. Not able to connect to internet yet.
I Think you have to have a BB Data plan with the GSM carrier to conect to internet & send-receive e-mail?
Does anyone know how to make the data work when using the SIM?

You can switch between 1xEV and use your Verizon Number and then switch to GSM (2G Only) if you wish to use your GSM number.
This could be very helpful if you are in a weak CDMA area but strong GSM, also cool to have two numbers, one phone.

You can call Verizon for the unlock code (they are happy to do this for cutomers in good standing due to folks wanting to use Pre-Paid SIM Cards for travel).
If anyone has had success figuring out how to configure the data connections when using the GSM Carrier's SIM, (AT&T or T-Mo), would appreciate any help?

you're unlikely to get data, even if you had a data plan with the carrier of the GSM SIM, as the PIN of your phone is registered with Verizon's BIS for data.

now if you could scan between the 2 phone numbers, we'd be on to something
