This is my first post, so dont go crazy if i do something wrong!!

I have BB 9700 with unlimited data charges here in the UK on Orange, my other half lives in Germany and is on Vodafone DE (German Vodafone) with a BB 8520. If we use BBM, will we both get charged or will nothing happen? Because technically we're not roaming at all and i dont think we're sending things abroad, just on the BB network, so would we be charged for using BBM or not?

BBM requires a BlackBerry data plan and uses data from that plan. Assuming you don't go over your data allowance, you won't get charged any extra.

we both have BB data plans and we use the internet all the time etc! Obviously she uses vodafone DE data plan and me an Orange UK data plan, so does that mean we wont get charged??? Are BBM messages to abroad larger than UK ones?? as long as we stick in our data charges will this not cost us anything?

Just want to make sure we wont get charged!

The usage is the same if you send to someone sitting next to you or to someone across the planet.

To give you an idea of usage, I use BBM a LOT. I have about 40 people in my BBM contact list and have 2 or 3 group convos going at the same time, as well as a few individual conversations. I also get a lot of email, surf the web, and stream music with Pandora. My usage for last week was 430M. My plan is 'unlimited' but is really capped at 5G, so I'm nowhere near going over.

My son uses his even more for internet, especially videos, and last month used 1.9G. Still no extra fees.
