Default blackberry USB port damaged please help

Please Login to Remove!

hi everyone
i have damaged my blackberry's port that connects the charger to the blackberry
it is the only port through which i can charge my cell and connect my cell pone with the computer
so i am in big trouble....

i am thinking of repairing it in a mobile repair shop (as i bought it somewhere else and there is no valid service center for it in my country.)

my problem is if the simple repair centre can mend it or not! and after repair can the cellphone be connected with desktop manager and new programmes cud be installed or not! should i try for it or just leave it this way! is the port any differently placed than other cellphones in the market or not

i have alws got solutions for my problems here in this forum and hope to get this time too...
regards...

8320 is not a new phone. I think it will be cheaper to buy a replacement. You can use a program like google to backup some of your information.

I am not sure about the logistics but for repairs, take a look at Horizon Wireless.

I had the USB port replaced on a 8330 for $50.00. It was worth it, and there are no PC connection or charging problems. It took the shop about 2 hours to fix it.

I've seen this issue happen a lot with the old Pearl's and the old 8830 International Phones. In the States, Verizon will cover these under warranty....good luck where you are located.

Buy a Blackberry craddle charger on Ebay for about $15.00, buy.com for $11.00 free shipping and charge your phone without using the port. I just ordered one. At least until you get the port fix.
