Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

In my application I am sending some images to server in a separate thread. But I am facing serious problem with my GUI once thread starts uploading my data to server. My screen almost stuck and i cant use trackball to navigation among my fields in screen.Once thread finishes its job everything is fine. But until thread is running in background I am not able to use my GUI ,it is stuck for that particular time.

Doesn't sound right to me. Are you trying to synchonize with the UI thread for a progress dialog, or something?

Post some code.

Or the other way. I have written network communications threads that update gauges on the GUI. If written correctly the GUI responsiveness doesn't suffer, but data speed may a little depending on how much CPU the GUI is taking. Anything that happens on the UI event thread, or while the lock is held has to be very quick and not call any methods that may wait for external events.

Doug is right, we need to see some code.
