Hi everyone
I just bought myself a 8310 curve almost 2 weeks ago (first BB )
and the last 2 days my battery will drain within an hr ???
I have been downloading google apps and some ringtones but aside from those and a couple of games, thats it.
I don't think anything is running when I log on and after fully charging it at night it reads 50% when I turn it on at about 8:30am
I go back to work come out for lunch a couple of hrs later turn it on and it reads 35% I called tech support who advised a soft reset which I did and then had no battery life at all to even make a phone call.
Please help... I am not very tech savy just very freaked out that I may have done something to my neww and already addictive BB.
that's a bad battery, they do mess up sometimes.. i can get over two days with data and phone use.
edit:There may be apps that help the battery drain but honestly no matter what app ive been running and how many apps i have in background i can still get a good full day out of it.
I have downloaded the google apps a few days ago and the brain game and the hollywood game. I make sure to press close on all my apps and charge the battery overnight, I also turn the power off when not in use and never leave it in the cold ( stays in my coat pocket indoors.
Ok tried it and so far so good I have had it on standby most of the afternoon, texted a few times and checked email and facebook and I am at 90% it must have been the google apps that were draining it which sucks because I enjoyed having the maps.

Well I am glad we tracked it to an application. What Google app(s) were installed?
I have noticed that some browser pages dont release and keep refreshing. The hour glass keeps showing evey couple of seconds and battery drains very quickly. Someone is getting rich wth the data transfer. The cynic in me says intentionally. If you remove battery it seems to clear it.
