Default Is my Blackberry really dead?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, just wanted opinion to confirm if my blackberry curve is really dead? I have carried out all i can find using JL_cmder, which seems to wipe, (dosn't say it hasn't) and have used apploader to try and connect, but when apploader wizard loads up, there are no communication ports made available or autodetect options. Both are grayed out. It appears to be completely dead. I don't know what else I can do at this stage. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks, Neil.

With your BlackBerry connected to your pc via USB (direct connection - not through a hub or through a peripheral connection like a keyboard) try a battery pull for 30 seconds. After you re-insert the battery and the device powers up it may then show as connected and allow you to update the software.

If JL_Commander works you should get an error 507 afterwards. That means no OS detected on the handheld. Sometimes you have to run JL_Commander multiple times to get it to erase.

Thanks for the reply rambo47, I will persevere with JL_cmdr to see what happens, not seen an error 507 message as yet. Cheers.
