Talking Icon question (1st BB, 1st post here)

Please Login to Remove!

First of all: HI!

I just got my 1st BlackBerry and if that last couple of days are any indication, I'll be retiring to an island somewhere in the Pacific where my BlackBerry and I can be alone forever.

Anyway, I had a question about the icons that show on the screen. I'm using a Zen theme now and a few icons show up.

What I want to do is to always have the same icons on my default screen, but they keep changing.

Is this normal or is there a setting somewhere to fix this?

Glad I found this forum right away because I've learned a lot just by reading.

Welcome to the group!

Not sure I understand your question, but the first five or whatever show on your home screen. If you are rearranging your icons, that maybe why you see those changing.

Does that answer your question?

Only other thing that may answer your question, is are you accidently hiding your icons or moving them into folders?

Move the first 5 icons on the screen where you see all the icons. The first 5 or so will show up as the icons on your home screen.
To do this highlight the icon you want to move the hit the berry button to the left of the ball then scroll down to move. Move it to one of the first 5 then your done. Hope this helps

Thanks guys.

I think what happened was I moved something on accident or perhaps when I changed my theme (?) my 1st few icons on the default home screen changed.

It's pretty tough deciding what 5 to show and I still haven't really added much (card comes tomorrow). :D

I wasn't even aware you could move icons into folders too. Wow.

Thanks!

Do you have the L-shaped zen theme available to you? It eases the decision on what to put on the home screen. (you can put 8, at least in my case you can put 8).
