Google sync and calendar
Please Login to Remove!
Hi Guys (and Girls)
Can anyone tell me how to get my calendar to sync to googlemail account. Simple I hear you say, maybe, but mine won't
The googlemail account is different to my bold email account, is that my problem?
The phones contacts readily sync each way but not the calendar
Thanks
Neil

Googlemail is gmail.
Go to www.googlemail.com and see where it takes you.

googlemail is the name for the gmail service in the UK. There is an active trademark dispute for the name. Users of gmail in the UK from 19 Oct 2005 onwards get googlemail.com addresses.
Doesn't affect users that had a gmail addy before that.
Have you actually ticked the calendar syncing and saved your settings? Syncing a calendar of a different gmail address to your blackberry mail is not a problem, so don't worry about that.

So regardless, using gmail instead of googlemail still sends it to the correct person.

Nobody claimed otherwise. it is indeed the same service. The name of it sadly is not related to the user's issue. Since it seems to be important for some of you though..

Any more thoughts?

Do you get any kind of error Neil?
Is your blackberry time/date current? Do you try to sync feature appointments or past?

What calendars have you selected to sync? For example, I have two calendars in google calendar, therefore, I have to make sure that both of them are selected. Have selected which calendar you want?

Ok, I've even now added the Googlemail account tried to sync but still no upload of events. I didn't even see the sync program attempt to upload the calendar from the phone, it seems to be only bringing the entries down from my google calendar
If I add a new event in google then it downloads quite happily, it's the upload side that's causing the problem
Does this give anyone a light bulb moment?

If that's te case, midnightdraven, I truely disappointed. BB is with me all the time but I don't sit in front of my PC all the time therefore I need a way to keep google calendar updated since I have others who need to check what is in my calendar.
Is there another calendar online or piece of software to do this?

No google sync uploads too. Usually when I enter something in my blackberry it goes to the google calendar.
