Default Playbook dev - Worth waiting for Android?

Please Login to Remove!

I got a Playbook for xmas, and I'm looking forward to taking my first steps into mobile dev. Since I only have so much time to learn a new platform, I'm trying to decide if it's worth waiting for OS2.0 (or signing up for the beta), and doing Android apps?

I could target more devices with Android, but I'm worried the Playbook support for Android will be limited or restricted. In which case, I'm better off learning one of the Playbook platforms, which is narrower but better supported on the playbook.

Any thoughts?

Default Re: Playbook dev - Worth waiting for Android?

My honest opinion is begin developing for Android. I am not a developer, but Android sales have been growing at a fast rate and more and more devices, smartphones as well as tablets, are being released with Android. The Playbook as been the exact opposite. Poor sales. So far only one device with the OS. The BBX devices that are supposed to run the same or similar OS have been pushed back to the end of 2012. By the time that happens, who knows what will be in the market.
